Dave joined Catalina Capital Group as Managing Director of Corporate Retirement Plans. He has more than 20 years of experience in the retirement plan and employee benefits industry.

His expertise includes implementing best-in-class solutions for 401(k), 403(b), 457(b), 457(f), Profit Sharing, Defined Benefit (Cash Balance), ESOP, Non-Qualified retirement plans, and Pension Risk Transfer.

Over his career he has gained valuable experience in developing custom, results oriented solutions for retirement plan clients—and he helps plan sponsors navigate their fiduciary responsibilities and the plan governance aspects of sponsoring a retirement plan.

​Dave looks to find ways to assist employers to improve outcomes for both retirement plan sponsors and participants. He is passionate about partnering with business owners and executives to help them achieve all their retirement plan goals and objectives. He strives to enhance employee engagement and retirement readiness through various methods. This can be accomplished by implementing plan design changes or by utilizing our participant education program, which equips employees with the knowledge they need to make well-informed financial decisions. Catalina Capital Group serves in a fiduciary capacity for each of its clients and Dave takes the lead role in providing an unbiased and conflict fee approach to always doing what’s in each client’s best interest. Step-by-step guidance is provided to ensure plan cost effectiveness, investment performance, operational efficiency, participant retirement readiness and plan compliance.

Dave is an active member of the American Society of Pension Professionals & Actuaries (ASPPA) / National Association of Plan Advisors (NAPA), and is the past President of the Western Pension and Benefits Council, San Diego Chapter. He is also an active member of his community and has served as a board member for the San Diego County Bar Foundation, a non-profit organization that  strives to provide access to justice for the underserved by investing in sustainable results and advocacy for people and communities in our region who are impacted by poverty, abuse and discrimination. Dave is a graduate of the University of Phoenix where he earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Business Management.
